Overview

This position is the Senior Level Analyst in financial reporting and analysis for the Wealth line of business. Accounting functions will be part of this role. Serves as an analytic resource for review and design of processes, controls and analysis for key business units within Wealth. Will become the subject expert on a specific line of business. Review accounting postings and book accounting Journal entries required to record revenue. Review and perform analytics on expenses and trends. Have methodology to provide responses to variances and KPI's to key stakeholders, such as corporate finance, managers and sales leadership. Assists in implementing recommended enhancements to current processes by identifying an improvement, recording it in a standard project management workflow tool and assist with eventual rollout.

Generates profitability reports with visualization program Tableau, Excel and Hyperion. Will help develop automated reports and dashboards for automation and quick delivery to audiences.


Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs complex data analysis, effectively communicating and directing analysis output to other teams at the bank, such as corporate accounting, sales leadership and for Board presentations.
  • Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, company trends, and financial processes. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. Conducts other internal reporting projects as needed. May develop process enhancements based on reporting.
  • Business Support - Provides advanced support to management, associates, and other key groups via analysis output and financial expertise. Directs information and process updates across systems and other teams such as regulatory reporting, audits and internal compliance. Serves as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units, offering guidance and participating in strategic initiatives. May prepare documentation, presentations, or other materials for business purposes.
  • Financial Support - Tracks performance across assigned systems, products, or business units, and identifies issues limiting potential gains. Recommends workflow changes to achieve financial goals or minimize financial impact. Assists management in implementing recommended changes, and in ensuring compliance.
  • Peer Leadership - Encourages cross training, works in a team setting and shares knowledge. A team player.
  • Presentation skills - Meets with managers to assist in the creation of reports and dashboards. Able to work on multiple projects at once and Ad-Hoc Requests.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Finance or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Finance or Analytics. Experience in banking or brokerage industry preferred.

Exposure to Hyperion highly desired. Advanced Excel and Intermediate Tableau for guided analytics, interactive dashboard design and visual best practices preferred.
