Job Summary
Applies advanced knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices and standards in the area of planning for the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations relative to the production of components, parts, systems and subsystems of operational aircraft.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Develops solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity requiring judgment and ingenuity working within established standards and procedures relative to auditing, development, application and maintenance of production time standards for manufacturing operations.
- Management applies general direction to the results expected and review of completed work for soundness and accuracy.
- Provides information and assists in the development of systems specifications, programming and installation of databases of pertinent information for use in developing and maintaining time standards.
- Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Acquires all pertinent data associated with cost of equipment or system acquisition and projected cost savings to determine return on investment and payback of proposed equipment or systems.
- Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
- Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
- Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment. |

Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.Experience Requirements 3-6 year(s) Related experience and/or training. Skills and Competencies
- Communicates effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms.
- Makes telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and makes formal presentations to small or large groups.
- Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
