Fossil is seeking a creative and curious Junior to Mid-Level UX Designer/Researcher to join our user experience team. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in supporting both the design and research phases of our product development lifecycle. You will work closely with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to help us understand our users' needs and translate those insights into intuitive and engaging digital experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone new to the UX field to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Prototyping
    • Use UX best practices to design solutions and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
    • Use Figma UX software to effectively wireframe and design compelling experiences.
    • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate based on the results.
    • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to existing and new functions and features.
  • User Testing & Research
    • Facilitate client's product visions by researching, conceiving, and testing user experiences for digital products.
    • Analyze UX analytics, survey, study, and test results for insights and opportunities.

Your Skills


Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of UX experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with digital ecommerce environments and user testing.
  • Experience in Figma or other UX software such as Adobe XD, Sketch, and the like is a must.
  • Experience with Simulated User Testing and other AI-based tools.
    • Ability to creatively prompt and translate the results to match stakeholder, business, and user needs.
  • Ability to work with team members to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet stakeholder needs and vision.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, working with cross-functional teams, testing environments and managing the frequency of releases
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and individual agility, embracing a "fail fast" mindset to digital progress
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills that drive decision making through data
  • Understands the importance of digital ethics and keeps the consumer at the center of everything
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present information to technical and non-technical customers/stakeholder

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
