Responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities in the consumer and industrial market segments (CIS) to drive revenue growth. This role will collaborate closely with segment managers and sales team to identify translatable applications for existing products as well as exploring new channels to market.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue and close short-term targets in consumer and industrial (CIS) market segment aligned with core production capabilities
  • In coordination with sales team, engage existing channel partners, leverage relationships, and track target list and conduct joint calls as needed
  • Attend industry trade events to identify market trends, new/legacy targets and/or channels, build pipeline and track opportunities
  • Coordinate efforts with sales team and CIS Segment Manager, aligning targets with short and long-range forecast
  • Evaluate competitive landscape and gather market intelligence to support share growth
  • Use AI tools to identify targets, generate and collect customer, market and industry data and share this within the organization
  • Collaborate with other regional commercial stakeholders for two-way application/market knowledge sharing. Support off-shore business that is specified in North America
  • Propose innovation projects in support of driving new business
  • This is a home-based remote position that requires extensive domestic travel (up to 50%)

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 5+ years' experience in a (external) customer facing, commercial role; OR Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience in a (external) customer facing, commercial role; OR Associate's degree with 11+ years' experience in a (external) customer facing, commercial role; OR High School diploma with 15+ years in a experience in a (external) customer facing, commercial role
  • Experience with plastics or polymer products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial/technical sales or business development
  • Experience with plastics/films applications
  • Knowledge of TPU and PC value proposition and key applications
  • Degree discipline in Polymer Science or Plastics Engineering

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven track record in developing profitable business. Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Team player, excellent networking and customer relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Resilient attitude
  • Passion for closing new business
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%, with ability to travel internationally
