Position Overview

The Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) will lead the strategy and execution of evidence generation that demonstrates the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of Incyte's Inflammation & Autoimmune (IAI) portfolio-including Atopic Dermatitis (AD), Vitiligo, and Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS).

This highly visible role within US Medical Affairs requires deep expertise in health economics, outcomes research, and real-world evidence (RWE), combined with strong cross-functional leadership. The Director will provide actionable insights to guide market access, reimbursement, and product positioning-ensuring that Incyte's therapies deliver differentiated value in a competitive and evolving healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities

HEOR Strategy & Execution

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute comprehensive HEOR strategies across IAI indications to address access, reimbursement, and differentiation needs.
  • Research Lifecycle: Lead all aspects of HEOR research-from study design and vendor selection to execution, analysis, and interpretation-ensuring scientific rigor, compliance, and impact.
  • Scientific Communication: Drive dissemination of HEOR evidence through peer-reviewed publications, congress presentations, and value communication tools, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Represent HEOR on U.S. and global teams to ensure evidence informs access strategy, clinical development, and lifecycle management.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • External Collaboration: Build and sustain partnerships with academic institutions, thought leaders, and research organizations to enhance the credibility and reach of HEOR evidence.
  • Market Access Support: Collaborate with Health Outcomes Liaisons and Payer teams to generate evidence supporting pricing, reimbursement, and formulary access.
  • Payer-Focused Evidence: Develop cost-effectiveness models, budget impact analyses, and value dossiers tailored to payer and healthcare system needs.

Leadership & Project Management

  • Resource Oversight: Manage HEOR budgets, vendor contracts, and research resources to ensure high-quality and compliant execution.
  • Organizational Agility: Continuously adapt HEOR strategies in response to shifting company priorities, competitor activity, and emerging data.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Partner across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Legal to ensure alignment and amplify HEOR impact.

Qualifications

Education

  • Master's or PhD in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, Pharmacoeconomics, or a related field.
  • PharmD or MD with postdoctoral training in HEOR or Pharmacoeconomics will also be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HEOR experience in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO, with demonstrated success in strategy development and cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong preference for expertise in Inflammation & Autoimmune diseases.
  • Proven expertise in RWE study design, execution, and integration into economic models.
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and scientific communications.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and payer landscape; familiarity with ICER value frameworks a plus.
