SUMMARY: The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Senior Program Manager plays a pivotal role within the Enterprise Project Management Office under the Strategic Management Office (SMO), leading the delivery of complex, high-impact programs that align with the bank's strategic goals. This role is responsible for managing multi-disciplinary initiatives involving business, IT, risk, finance, and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering enterprise-wide change, navigating complexity, and aligning outcomes to business value.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Program Leadership Execution
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex programs across multiple business units and functions
- Ensure alignment of portfolio objectives with bank strategic goals, working closely with portfolio managers, business sponsors, stakeholders, and the SMO teams
- Manage dependencies, risks, resources, and benefits realization across program components.
- Oversee program financials, including budget, forecasting, and variance reporting
- Stakeholder Engagement and Governance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors and senior leadership for project deliverables.
- Establish and maintain governance structures, including steering committees, decision forums, and issue escalation protocols.
- Translate complex issues into clear executive-level updates, decisions, and recommendations.
- Strategic Portfolio Support
- Collaborate with the Director of EPMO and Head of SMO to ensure programs are integrated into the broader strategic portfolio roadmaps.
- Contribute to investment prioritization, demand management, and scenario planning processes.
- Provide insights into investments performance, value delivery, and alignment to OKRs.
- Team and Vendor Management
- Lead cross-functional teams that may include internal staff, contractors, and third-party vendors.
- Support coaching and mentorship activities across project and program teams.
- Ensure vendor performance aligns with objectives and contractual obligations.
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field Master's Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ Years of experience in project/program management, including 3+ years managing enterprise-scale programs
- Proven experience delivering critical investments within banking or financial services (eg, digital transformation, core banking, compliance, modernization)
- Expertise in managing program budgets, schedules, dependencies, and executive reporting
- Experience working within an EPMO or SMO structure preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- PMP, PgMP, or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC). preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of program management methodologies (PMI PMP, PgMP, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, OCC, FDIC) preferred
- Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and/or Smartsheet preferred
- Strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Executive presence and strong communication skills.
- Risk and change management expertise.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
