About This Role
The Director of Risk Management and Operations is responsible for leading and coordinating enterprise and operational risk activities across Kansas State University. This position oversees risk assessment, mitigation strategies, compliance-related initiatives, incident management, international travel safety, and threat assessment functions. The Director will guide university-wide programs to reduce institutional risk, support mission continuity, and foster a proactive, risk-aware culture. The position reports to the Chief Risk and Safety Officer and supervises a Risk and Compliance Manager. About Us The Division of Risk and Safety oversees the areas of environmental health and safety, emergency management, campus police, physical security, and the Office of Risk and Compliance.
