Lead and manage the function providing oversight of all matters relating to the maintenance and enhancement of internal operations processes and systems to support HMSA's operational and related programs. Governance and relationship oversight of service providers which includes ensuring all new benefits/processes are implemented accurately while corrective actions are also completed according to Service Levels Agreements (SLAs). Project management leadership for all improvement/corrective activities for the claims area. Includes working effectively with internal and external partners to ensure timelines and quality standards are achieved as expected. Develop and maintain an effective unit through the selection, development, compensation and motivation of staff. Develop the talent necessary to achieve short- and long-range goals and objectives through effective coaching, training and assignment of tasks: Interview, hire, mentor and develop staff for the Internal Operations job family Seek alternate and creative recruiting techniques to address staff shortages Discipline and termination as needed Assess staff training needs & oversee continuous development of training programs & materials Provide career development opportunities to all staff Provide recognition and inspire staff toward higher levels of performance and quality Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
