Snowflake is looking to hire a Senior AR Accountant. This position requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. The Senior AR Accountant plays a key role in actively supporting processes of the monthly and quarterly financial close to ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness. This includes preparing Journal entries to support close activities and perform monthly account recons and provide other analyses as requested. Prepare and deliver Flux analysis including those compared to prior periods. This position requires three days onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Play a key role in actively supporting processes of monthly and quarterly financial close activities

  • Prepares Journal entries to support close activities

  • Perform monthly account recons for month end & AR Fluxes

  • Tracking Marketing invoices and book to appropriate Journal entries

  • Perform Customer refunds recon prior to AP close

  • Perform marketplace commission recons and reporting

  • Prepare AR Concentration & Related party Disclosure report

  • Help with billing related tasks like issuing invoices, credit adjustment etc.,

  • Work closely with the Billing team and help with answering internal and external email cases from the sales team and the customer

  • Assess risks associated with process delays and timely escalating the same to the leadership team

  • Working collaboratively with other team members to resolve issues

  • Contribute to continuous system implementation and process improvements

  • Helping with gathering Audit support as needed

  • Participation in UAT and other process enhancements.

  • Previous Cash accounting experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance required

  • 5+ years of work experience in Billing and in-depth Account Receivable knowledge to work independently

  • A team player who excels at building relationships across the organization while adhering to tight deadlines with a positive attitude.

  • Required to work late or on weekend on critical days of month/quarter/year-end close

  • Salesforce, Stripe, and Workday Financials ERP experience a plus

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)

  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement

  • Ability to proactively manage his or her own work streams as needed

  • Adapts quickly to changes in a dynamic organizational structure and business processes

  • Ability to work independently and a strong team player

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude, and ability to think outside the box

  • Thorough understanding and adherence to applicable SOX controls

  • Understanding of accounting principles and effectively applying to the business process

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $92,000 - $123,900.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
