POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Quality Assurance and Commissioning will ensure that our products meet regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, and client specifications throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in quality assurance, commissioning processes, and project management, particularly within regulated industries such as construction, manufacturing, energy, or engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
TEAM LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
*Lead and manage QA and Commissioning teams, providing direction, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
*Set measurable objectives and KPIs that align with company priorities and client expectations.
*Provide regular updates to senior leadership on QA and commissioning status, highlighting critical issues.
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
*Develop and implement QA and commissioning plans aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
*Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure projects meet industry standards and client specifications.
*Develop and enforce quality management systems (QMS) per ISO, FDA, GMP, and other frameworks.
*Establish and apply quality control guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
*Continuously evaluate QA processes for improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
COMMISSIONING ACTIVITIES
*Manage commissioning activities to ensure systems and components function as intended before client handover.
*Collaborate with project teams to create commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.
*Monitor commissioning progress, addressing issues, risks, and delays with effective solutions.
*Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality policies during commissioning.
RISK MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE
*Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive actions to mitigate quality risks.
*Lead audits and inspections, resolving non-conformance issues promptly.
*Ensure that all commissioning and QA activities are properly documented for audit purposes.
COLLABORATION AND CLIENT RELATIONS
*Collaborate with project management, engineering, and operations to integrate quality-driven strategies.
*Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to meet their quality and commissioning needs.
*Serve as the main contact for clients regarding QA and commissioning, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution.
*Review and approve final commissioning documents and quality reports for clients and regulatory bodies.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
*Implement quality initiatives like Lean or Six Sigma to optimize workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelor"s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
*Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Commissioning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
*Proven experience in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), as well as leading commissioning processes in regulated industries.
SKILLS:
INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE: Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, project commissioning standards).
LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficiency in project management tools, commissioning software, and quality assurance methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
MULTITASKING ABILITY: Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
