Introduction:

The Senior Data Architect will lead the design and development of enterprise data solutions that support complex business strategies within a federal government environment. This role is responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance data systems across Government Community Cloud (GCC High) or FedRAMP Authorized platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in data modeling, metadata governance, and modern development tools, and will be a key contributor to cross-functional teams and executive-level engagements.

This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design and develop solutions for complex and large-scale data sets.

  • Lead the creation of enterprise data architectures and strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Develop high-level conceptual and logical data models to support cross-system and cross-functional data integration.

  • Establish and maintain metadata governance processes to ensure data accuracy, validity, and quality.

  • Design and build both relational and non-relational databases.

  • Translate business requirements into long-term, scalable architecture solutions.

  • Review and optimize object/data models and metadata repositories for improved data management and access.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives to communicate data strategies and demonstrate solutions.

  • Debug and enhance applications across a wide range of platforms and tools.

Technical Environment:

  • Cloud Platforms:Government Community Cloud (GCC High), FedRAMP Authorized platforms, Microsoft Azure

  • Development Tools & Languages:Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Python, CMake

  • Design & Modeling Tools:AutoCAD, AutoLISP, Inkscape, AI Builder, XRM Toolbox

  • Data & Analytics:Microsoft Power BI, R Studio, Power Query

  • Collaboration & Content Management:SharePoint, SharePoint Lists, SharePoint Development

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of8 years of experienceworking in federal government environments using GCC High or FedRAMP Authorized platforms.

  • Proven experience developing in the Power Platform Suite and debugging across multiple languages and tools.

  • Strong experience with SharePoint development and data integration.

  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and executives.

  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Candidates will be required to undergo a polygraph examination post-hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field.

  • Certifications in Azure, Power Platform, or Data Architecture.

  • Experience with AI/ML tools and data science workflows.
