Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of the Social Work Academy, responsible for administrative duties related to planning and coordinating the operational activities for the social work academy.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of accreditation concepts and Dallas College policies to ensure student confidentiality and program compliance. Ability to support and deliver student programs and services,proficient in integrated software systems and Microsoft applications. Coordinate and participate in meetings, student programs and orientations for the School of LPS, Social Work Academy, as well as continuing education and credit related programs. Ability to build professional relationships interacting with colleagues, students, and external organizations to fulfill the vision and mission of the organization. Ability to monitor budget usage and allocation for the Legal Studies and Social Work Academies. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize needs, and maintain professionalism. Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders within the Dallas College community. Understanding of the organization's short- and long-term goals and follow District policies and procedures to achieve them. Skilled in networking with other coordinators, institutions, and departments to share information and improve processes. Skilled with excellent time management skills, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain solid organizational skills to complete assignments on time. Strong communication skills to speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques, interacting with diverse audiences (i.e., telephone calls, emails, MS Teams, etc.).
Ability to plan and implement strategies that support Dallas College strategic priorities to accomplish the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Ability to coordinate and provide support for various academy functions as needed to attract and retain students for the various programs.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience in a college setting or work-related experience in social work, substance abuse counseling, paralegal, or law enforcement fields. Official transcripts required (when applicable). Ability to work extended hours beyond the regular 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. workday, especially during peak registration times, including some nights and weekends. Availability for early morning, evening, and weekend work. Current and valid Texas driver's license required. Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Provides excellent customer service to clients and case management services to students in the School of Law and Public Service. Collaborates with School of LPS Pathway Specialist, Success Coaches, faculty and support staff to support student success Perform administrative duties, maintain databases, create reports, and manage the office. Provides support to the Director of the Social Work Academy, including continuing education, directed pathways and other LPS academy related programs. Responsible for the day-to-day operation and assistance of Social Work Academy and School of LPS initiatives on several campuses.
Handles emergencies that may arise including safety and security issues in accordance with college and district policies. Coordinates the flow of information and official documents between the directors, department chairs, and deans of the different "Schools of". Supports the Director in allocating and coordinating budget for the services offered on the campuses and confers with supervisor regularly and as necessary. Provides excellent customer service. Interact daily with students and serve as a liaison between the directors, college, community, and industry partners. Instruct part-time employees as needed. Collaborates as a team member with directors on recruitment, enrollment, retention and orientation programs and initiatives. Works with social work-related agencies to support student assignments for practicums, internships and service learning. Provides technological support and delivers student programs and services, proficient in integrated software systems and Microsoft applications. Utilizes computer technology to maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others. Exhibits strong listening, oral, and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders within the Dallas College community. Assists with project development, planning, and implementation. Ensures compliance with departmental policies and safety standards. Understands and supports the community college mission Plans and implements strategies that support the mission, vision and values of Dallas College. Complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year. Performs related duties as assigned.
