Description Location: Orlando, FL Security Clearance Requirement: Secret Telework Eligible? Remote position; must live within a 2-hour drive from NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL. As the Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS), you will support the U.S. Navy's Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) program. In this role, you will develop and maintain training curricula in support of major Navy platforms and missions. While the position is primarily remote, the selected candidate must live within a two-hour commute of NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL, to support on-site requirements as needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide knowledge and expertise in the operation, employment, maintenance, or repair of systems, subsystems, or equipment related to military training systems.
- Incorporate current technology into instruction to enhance delivery and learning outcomes.
- Review and provide quality assurance for content at all stages of development to ensure compliance with Navy standards and contract requirements.
- Support the Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychologist in developing human performance metrics.
- Conduct training situation analyses and job task analyses to inform course design and synthetic training systems.
- Document analyses and curriculum design decisions in accordance with professional and contractual standards.
- Support the evaluation of instructional effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Oversee the production and review courseware as part of computer-based, web-based, and distributed learning training.
- Serve as advisor and consultant to various NAWCTSD Orlando acquisition functions and other Navy and DOD organizations on matters relating to instructional technologies and methodologies.

- Bachelor's degree is required; preferred areas of study include Education, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related degree program. Master's degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience applying instructional systems design principles in a DoD/Navy training development environment, required.
- Knowledge of learning theory, instructional methods, and current best practices in instructional systems design.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, competency frameworks, blended learning, and performance-based training models.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); experience with eLearning platforms and video training tools is a plus.
