Responsibilities
In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:
- Oversee all front office functions.
- Recruit, hire and supervise front office staff in addition to developing and attaining performance goals and objectives.
- Evaluate performance and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Provide assistance and coverage for front office functions as required.
- Prepare and conduct training sessions with staff regarding coding, accurate charge entry, and other front office functions.
- Develop and maintain a professional department that assists the organization toward its goal of improving cost-effectiveness of health care delivery.
- Coordinate office procedures with front office, medical staff, and billing office to ensure smooth flow of information within departments.
- Participate in the completion of month-end close checklist for all assigned items to ensure meeting or exceeding corporate timelines.
- Implement and comply with Company Reimbursement Policies and Procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Review all attorney requests and records to ensure proper authorization has been obtained and all documentation is present.
- Manage insurance verification process, in addition to patient financial counseling to ensure patients are apprised of financial obligations.
- Ensure that authorizations are obtained in a timely manner.
- Review posting of charges from encounter forms and hospital charges within 24 hours.
- Review and analyze daily encounter forms for completeness and accuracy, following up with appropriate person(s) to obtain complete information.
- Maintain knowledge of current health care and billing trends and practices.
- Supervise the daily activities of front office staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of medical office experience.

- Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
- Any relevant experience which demonstrates the minimum knowledge and skills may be substituted for education.
The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Masks may be requested in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. COVID vaccination is recommended.
