The US Oncology Network is looking for a Hybrid Information Technology (IT) Project Manager to join our team at Texas Oncology. This position will be primarly located in Irving, Texas. Some travel may be necessary.

What does this position do?

The IT Project Manager is a key contributor within the Texas Oncology IT team, responsible for leading medium-to-large and/or complex IT initiatives across Texas Oncology. This role ensures strategic alignment, cross-functional coordination, and timely execution of projects that span infrastructure modernization, construction, and clinical operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of project management expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and healthcare technology awareness to drive operational excellence and innovation. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of medium-to-large scale IT projects, including infrastructure modernization activities (IMAs) and construction-related initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to scope project requirements and define success metrics.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Support the implementation of scalable, secure, and user-centric digital solutions tailored to practice needs.
  • Maintain documentation, reporting, and communication to ensure transparency and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in project management processes and tools.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field

Or

Associate's Degree + four (4) years of related work experience

Or

High School diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years of related work experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within healthcare or multi-site enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and digital health technologies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred

Work Environment:

This position may require long periods of sitting and computer work. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in an office environment with frequent interaction internally with corporate and field staff, and externally with outside vendors. Work may require possible travel by air or automobile, up to 25%.
