Software Test Engineer

Summary:

Goldbelt HAWK, LLC is seeking a full-time Software Test Engineer to join a team of experts charged with providing high quality, customized software solutions for tracking and reporting United States Marine Corps Aviation and Aviation Ground training and readiness. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level to mid-range Manual Software Test Engineer to gain knowledge and experience in the DOD Software Development process. We are looking for someone who will work collaboratively with the Product Owners/Business Analysts, Software Developers, other Software Test Engineers, and User Experience Developers to build, design, and maintain all web and software applications content for a Government Owned cloud-based application.

Essential Job Functions:

• Evaluates, recommends, and implements test tools and strategies.
• Designs, implements, and conducts test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
• Writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
• Serves as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
• Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.
• Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.
• Manages daily tasking and priorities, participates in scheduled team meetings, and assesses requirements for software and database development needs.
• Reports activity daily.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with military personnel, government civilian staff and technical experts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent years of experience
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle processes to include: Software Testing and User Interface Testing
• Minimum two (2) years of software test or software development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft .NET Framework
• Agile Software Methodologies
• Automated Testing frameworks (Selenium, MTM (Microsoft Test Manager))
• Working knowledge of USMC Aviation Training and Readiness, military readiness reporting and related policy and processes
• Microsoft Visual Studio proficiency

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually.
