The leadership team recognizes a tremendous opportunity to execute year-over-year cost savings related to materials cost and data analytics to support making strong supplier selection, price negotiation and commercial term decisions in conjunction with supporting the Commodity Leaders, Supplier Quality Engineers Analysts team(s) . It is recognized that the Corporate Sourcing team needs support role team members to support projects, supplier development and improvement and data analytics activities. This individual will support the Commodity Leaders, Supplier Quality Engineers and Sourcing BI Analysts and much effort will be made to develop this commodity specialists into future commodity / sourcing leaders in the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Manage suppliers - price negotiations, agreements, KPI (on time delivery, quality & customer service).
  • Analyze spend data, support various assigned commodity strategies to help achieve year-over-year productivity savings as established by Management.
  • Tactical sourcing support for multiple commodity leaders and supplier quality engineers.
  • Support various sourcing projects across commodities globally.
  • Work with the Global Commodity teams as assigned to identify world-class suppliers that can deliver appropriate supply chain solutions.
  • While working with the commodity leaders, develop strong understanding of WATTS product portfolio and how components are manufactured, sourced and purchased
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred).

MANAGEMENT:

This position does not have any direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one year of experience in supply chain, purchasing & sourcing with a baseline understanding, credibility, and comfort to work with commodity leaders, supplier quality engineers and data analysts
  • Limited experience in metals (stainless steel, cast iron, copper, etc.), plastics, hardware and packaging is preferred.
  • Understanding of strategic sourcing strategies in Asia and America is preferred.
  • A history of managing direct spend and establishing measurable improvements in year-over-year savings.
  • Strong technical, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Successful with driving results from a Project Management role within a manufacturing organization embracing a Lean/Six Sigma transformation.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems as related to Purchasing.
  • Ability to travel 15%-20%

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
