*Summary: The HR Generalist - LOA *Focus is responsible for administering Leave of Absence programs and supporting broader HR functions to ensure compliance, consistency, and effective employee support. This role requires strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments. In addition to leave administration, the HR Generalist will support employee relations, policy interpretation, and daily HR operations.
*Key Responsibilities:* Administer Leave of Absence programs, including intake, documentation, benefits coordination, and employee communication. Ensure compliance with FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, USERRA, and other relevant regulations. Serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave-related questions and processes. Monitor leave trends and recommend process improvements. Manage workers' compensation claims, including documentation, reporting, and coordination with third-party administrators. Maintain current knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures. Support managers and employees with employee relations matters, including policy clarification and conflict resolution. Participate in HR department initiatives, data audits, and projects to improve HR services.
