Job Summary: Support the purchasing manager and contribute to the successful operation of the purchasing department, including product procurement, product receiving, product delivery, data entry and administrative tasks supporting Palisades Tahoe's Food and Beverage Department.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.50 - 28.69 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following: other duties may be assigned:
  • Data entry through the Cheftec program including invoice entry, building new inventory items, entering inventory counts and assisting location managers with regular inventory maintenance.
  • Control and own the AP process for all F&B through regular statement reviews, coding, processing and filing of invoices and vendor AR communications.
  • Sets up and owns application process for all new vendors.
  • Work in cooperation with Alterra shared services AP & finance teams.
  • Assist with beverage ordering, inventory control & organization.
  • Regular communication between chefs, managers, Admin and vendors.
  • Ensure all deliveries are accounted for and delivered to proper venues.
  • Fill and deliver liquor breaks and assist with interdepartmental transfers as needed.
  • Credit card & expense report reconciliation.
  • Assist in placing orders via D365 POs and credit card purchases.
  • Ad hoc data collection and reporting projects.
  • Support F&B outlets during service as needed.


Management Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Manage a team of 4-5 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

2. Integrity & Compliance: Comply with Federal and California Labor law in phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures.

3.Commitment to Service: Achieve continuous improvement in operational objectives by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews

4. Safety: Establish, implement, and enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as State & Federal laws.

Competencies and Job Requirements:

Required:
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written.
  • Proficiently uses voice mail and phone systems, computers, email and Microsoft Excel.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and allocating resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with all levels of the organization, including chefs and managers and line level employees at multiple venues.
  • Strong sense of customer service and safety awareness. Must be able to seek assistance when necessary.
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Have a neat and clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time and use time clock.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions: Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate. Equipment Used in Job: Hand trucks, platform trucks, computers, phone.

Education and Experience:

Required:

1. Bachelor's Degree preferred

2. Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

3. F&B management experience preferred

4. Inventory management & Accounts Payable Processing
