Job Summary: Support the purchasing department and contribute to the successful operation of food & beverage. Supervise daily receiving, product and equipment deliveries. Oversee all F&B preventative and emergency maintenance including equipment and facilities.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.50 - 28.69 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following: other duties may be assigned:
  • Tracking of all F&B maintenance requests and equipment logs.
  • Communication conduit between chefs, managers, admin, building services and thirdparty vendors.
  • Owns the repair of existing equipment including troubleshooting, repair quotes, and scheduling.
  • Identifies and coordinates new equipment purchases and installations.
  • Coordinates staff trainings for new and existing equipment.
  • Manages the F&B departments waste removal in cooperation with third-party vendors and ensures alignment of resort and business unit sustainability standards.
  • Ensure all deliveries are accounted for and delivered to proper venues.
  • Fill and deliver liquor breaks.
  • Credit card reconciliation and expense management.
  • Assist in placing orders via PO and credit card.
  • Ad hoc data collection and reporting projects.
  • Support F&B outlets during service as needed.


Management Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Manage a team of 4-5 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

2. Integrity & Compliance: Comply with Federal and California Labor law in phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures.

3. Commitment to Service: Achieve continuous improvement in operational objectives by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews

4. Safety: Establish, implement, and enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as State & Federal laws.

Competencies and Job Requirements:

Required:
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written.
  • Hands-on approach to maintenance related trouble shooting and problem solving.
  • Proficient use of voice mail and phone systems, computers, email and Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and allocating resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with all levels of coworker, chefs and managers at multiple venues.
  • Strong sense of customer service and safety awareness. Must be able to seek assistance when necessary.
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Have a neat and clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time and use time clock.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, smell, and hear. Must be capable of sitting for long periods of time, intermittently walking and standing. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting 100lbs, pushing or pulling up to 400lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.

Education and Experience:

Required:

1. Bachelor's Degree preferred

2. Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

3. F&B supervisory experience preferred

4. Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, refrigeration, draft systems

5. Inventory management & Accounts Payable Processing
