Job Summary: The Die Sinker will set up and machine dies/part(s) from customer drawings or C.N.C. programs from MD&T programming department. This includes understanding the machinery, speeds and feeds, proper tooling, efficient running of equipment, ability to read blue prints and utilize geometric dimensions. CNC programming at the machine if needed to adjust the programs to complete the job. Essential to the job is the quality requirements to meet the customer specifications. Effective communication with shop personnel is a must along with teamwork. Job Requirements: A minimum secondary Education or GED and 2 years working experience in machining/setup and computer operation. This position requires knowledge of CNC programming and computer usage. Excellent communication skills and an analytical mind to assist in costs savings and efficient procedures. Team player to facilitate the growth, safety and prosperity of the company. This position will work Monday-Thursday 4am-2:00pm. Essential CNC Operator: Duties and Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a one or two-year college or technical school preferred but not required; two years experience in CNC machining in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience with in a machining environment. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to write reports, Ability to effectively present information. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as geometry and algebra. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 1 Excellent team player, trouble shooting abilities, and multi task.
