Job Summary
The Manager of Travel Services is responsible for leading the travel services team, providing management and coordination in all aspects as it relates to travel and other reimbursements, distribution of travel-related materials, the review and processing of travel requests and reimbursements in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Position can accommodate 100% remote candidates that are not within the Albany or surrounding areas.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervision of travel coordinators that includes providing training and direction on all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations and setting standards with respect to reliability, productivity, and accountability.
- Maintain familiarity with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations as it relates to travel and other reimbursements.
- Complete and analyze monitoring reports related to travel services and overall department activity or productivity reports.
- Review travel requests for allowability and appropriateness.
- Manage travel arrangements.
- Review travel and non-related travel related reimbursements and ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Serve as the expert SAP Concur Request and Expense systems and manage required system maintenance.
- Assist with the development of NY CREATES sponsored programs administrative policies and procedures and the outreach coordination, content development, and training of constituent groups regarding these policies and procedures.
- Other reasonable duties assigned.
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization OR equivalent relevant professional experience AND a minimum of 2 years professionally responsible experience.
- At least 1 year of experience managing SAP Concur Request and Expense systems.
- Candidates must have a working knowledge of the MS Office suite and excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
PREFERED REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge and experience with SAP Concur and travel related processes and procedures in a sponsored programs office.
- Experience in higher education and travel management.

Salary Range: $60,000- $85,000 / annual salary
