Senior Director, Software Engineering

Current Need:

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and driven Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead our data engineering efforts. This role is designed for an individual with 0-1 years of leadership experience, who has demonstrated a strong aptitude for technical leadership and a deep background in data engineering, ready to step into a significant role with high impact. You will be instrumental in shaping our data strategy, building scalable data platforms, and fostering a culture of excellence within our engineering organization.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of defining and executing our data strategy, aligning with the company's overall business objectives. You will translate complex business needs into technical data solutions, ensuring our data infrastructure supports rapid innovation and informed decision-making across all departments. This includes identifying emerging data technologies and trends, and integrating them into our roadmap.

As Senior Director, you will oversee the entire data engineering lifecycle, from data ingestion and processing to storage and consumption. Your influence will extend across multiple product lines and initiatives, directly impacting our ability to leverage data for competitive advantage. You will be responsible for defining technical standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for all data-related initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with product management, data science, and other engineering teams to understand their data requirements and deliver robust, scalable data solutions. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be crucial for success. You will champion data-driven approaches and ensure seamless integration of data capabilities into our products and services.

As Senior Director of Engineering, you will champion a data-driven approach to engineering leadership, using metrics and KPIs to guide strategic decisions, optimize team performance, and ensure alignment with company goals. You will establish and monitor engineering-specific KPIs-such as deployment frequency, lead time for changes, system reliability, and team velocity-to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Your ability to translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights will be critical in prioritizing initiatives, allocating resources, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture rooted in accountability and innovation.

This role reports directly to the VP/GM of MomentimRx. Minimum Requirement:

• Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

Critical Skills:

• 13+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 6+ years in a leadership role managing multiple engineering teams.

• Strong data background with extensive experience in data engineering, data science, or related fields.

• Proven 0-1 experience in building, scaling, and optimizing engineering organizations from the ground up.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in software development, architectural design, and system integration.

• Expertise in various programming languages, databases, and cloud platforms.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Able to travel up to 10%.
