Job Summary
Applies thorough knowledge of basic office processes and basic understanding of administrative concepts, practices and procedures related to performing a wide variety of routine administrative/clerical tasks in such functional areas as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for a specific project, business or technical unit.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Plans and accomplishes a complete range of assignments and tasks that are generally routine to moderately complex performing a variety of routine administrative/clerical tasks in such functional areas as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for a specific project, business, or technical unit.
- Compiles records, tracks and verifies accuracy of data and uses computer to generate reports, tables, graphs and correspondence. Operates word processor or personal computer equipment to generate tables, charts, memorandums, reports, and other material requiring speed and accuracy.
- Sets up and maintains alphabetical, numerical, and subject filing systems. Gathers information from multiple sources and reconciles report discrepancies. May design processes to enhance work flow.
- Gathers information, prepares routine reports, and composes routine correspondence. Typically requires basic knowledge of company policies and practices and good computer skills.
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment. |
Minimum Qualifications |
Education Requirements
Minimum High School or GED. Preferred Other. Three (3) to six (6) months of college. If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.Experience Requirements 2-4 year(s) Clerical experience. Skills and Competencies
- Communicates effectively in both written and verbal form using electronic media, telephone and direct contact with internal and external personnel.
- Operates standard office equipment and demonstrates competence in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Requires passing a basic computer assessment test.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. |
