Staffmark is excited to announce an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at a leading manufacturer in Muncie, Indiana. Schedule: 12-hour shift

Pay Rate: $27 - $35/hr. (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:



  • Complete projects with minimal guidance, focusing on reducing downtime and lost production.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Set up and operate shop machinery (drill press, grinders, saws, torch, welder, etc.) and use hand/power tools for repairs.
  • Install, maintain, and modify equipment to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lift platforms safely as needed.
  • Research and source parts, tools, and supplies; support accurate parts inventory through CMMS.
  • Maintain housekeeping and adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • Support company mission, vision, and values; perform other duties as assigned.




Key Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' industrial maintenance/electrical/mechanical experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong industrial electrical background: PLC troubleshooting, AC/DC drives, relay logic, 3-phase motors, 480v and below.
  • Skilled in reading schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) and technical documentation.
  • Proficient with computers (MS Office, Windows, CMMS).
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems: gearboxes, pumps, motors, compressors, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Effective communication (oral and written); ability to research and document findings.
  • Solid math and logical reasoning skills; capable of applying scientific principles to problem-solving.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to safely operate hand tools, forklifts, lifts, and industrial equipment.
