JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Product Manager for Patient and Member Experience leads the WebMD product strategy and execution for patient and member facing solutions for WebMD education solutions. Their primary responsibility is to ensure we are focusing on patient and member portals to influence engagement to ultimately achieve better outcomes. They also work in concert with clinical and payer teams to collaborate in finding new capabilities to support the WebMD Ignite mission. This candidate must have a strong background in Healthcare, personalization, product management practices. They are responsible for all phases of the product lifecycle, including market needs analysis, requirements definition, planning, development, go-to-market support, ongoing optimization, maintenance, migration and sunset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Defines strategy and roadmap for respective solutions
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions are designed and maintained to support client portal integrations.
  • Oversees the development, deployment, and optimization of WebMD solutions with partners and client patient and member portal capabilities
  • Work closely with partners, administrative staff, and IT teams to align product functionality with organizational needs.
  • Plan and manage WebMD Ignite patient and member solutions and updates, including testing and training users.
  • Works with the Technical Integration Product team for market needs to ensure our integration foundation aligns with market needs.
  • Identifies and develops requirements to drive design, development and testing of new applications that will support WebMD patient and member experience with partner integrations.
  • Analyzes market needs, coordinates development and testing, manages demonstration and early adopter projects, ensures market fit, works closely with product marketing, assists sales and client services with go-to-market materials.
  • Manages and continuously improves existing patient and member experience solutions and integration capabilities.
  • Manages documentation for functional/technical specifications, uses cases, and user acceptance plans. Manages roadmap and prioritizes backlog of related enhancements.
  • Proactively manages updates for patient and member experience solutions and ensures changes are communicated in advance and implemented without service disruption or negative client impacts. This includes changes to the partner platform, changes to WebMD content, apps and services, and changes to third-party components.
  • Manages end-of-life and migration activities for clinical experience capabilities.
  • Develops and executes plan for seamless sunset and migration to next generation solutions.
  • This role requires extensive internal collaboration with Solution Consultants, Product Managers, Engineering, Dev Ops, Project Managers, Marketing and Product Marketing Managers.
  • The role requires extensive external collaboration with clients, partner product managers and developers, and technical implementation teams of early adopter clients.
  • Requires between 10% and 30% travel.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of systems integration, product development and/or product management experience.
  • Experience using product management methodologies and frameworks, successfully managing product roadmaps and prioritizing backlogs.
  • Experience documenting market requirements, functional/technical specifications, use cases, and test plans.
  • The ideal candidate is familiar with most or all of the following technologies and can discuss them fluidly with developers, engineers and other product managers:
    • Deep understanding of configurations, workflows, and customizations for our respective solutions with each provider and payers markets.
    • Familiarity with patient and member behavior
    • Experience in managing large-scale healthcare IT projects.
    • Strong understanding of provider and payer integration standards
  • Proficient with workflow and collaboration applications such as Teams, JIRA, Confluence, You Track, and Salesforce.
  • Must be a strong writer and presenter, able to influence internal and external stakeholders and executives.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with cross-functional teams, internal leadership, external client and partner stakeholders.
  • AI experience is desired, but not required.
