The Regional Purchasing Manager plays a key leadership role in driving procurement transformation, operational alignment, and supplier performance across multiple manufacturing and R&D sites within a defined region. This role is responsible for leading regional execution of sourcing strategies, ensuring fulfillment of site supply requirements, managing service level agreements (SLAs), and supporting cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable value and operational excellence.

This position serves as a critical bridge between corporate sourcing, site operations, and strategic procurement

initiatives, ensuring that regional purchasing activities support both local site needs and global GSM priorities



Responsibilities

Domestic travel required: 10-20%

International travel required: 5-10%

Procurement Transformation & Regional Alignment

    Deploy global sourcing strategies, tools, and systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, LeanDNA, Onventis) across the region.
  • Lead regional rollout of procurement process improvements, data standards, and performance
  • dashboards.
  • Support change management by coaching site procurement teams on new systems, workflows, and compliance standards.

Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management

  • Collaborate with site leaders to define and implement SLAs aligned with material availability, lead times, and escalation response.
  • Track and report SLA performance, driving corrective actions for non-compliance or service gaps.
  • Ensure purchasing support aligns with production readiness, NPI timelines, and CTB (Clear-to-Build)
  • execution.

Supplier and Category Management

  • Manage key regional supplier relationships and contribute to global supplier segmentation and
  • performance evaluation.
  • Execute regional supplier negotiations, price agreements, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support supplier transitions, consolidations, and risk mitigation strategies.

Operational Support & Risk Management

  • Act as escalation point for material availability, PO delays, or quality issues that impact build readiness or site schedules.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, and Engineering on root cause resolution and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with planning parameters, purchasing policies, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Buyers and Procurement Specialists across supported sites.
  • Align team objectives with regional and global GSM goals, driving accountability through KPIs and regular reviews.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus.


Qualifications

Required Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required: Master's preferred
  • 5-8 + years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in managerial or regional leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, purchasing operations, supplier management, and ERP systems (SAP S4/Hana)
  • Experience leading procurement transformation or process improvement initiatives across multiple sites.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms effectively.
  • Strong understanding of SLA design and performance tracking.

Preferred Certifications:

CPIM, CSCP, or DDP

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $101,000 and $161,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
