With expanded facilities-from a tripled Fremont headquarters to a state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Wuxi-Cytek is scaling rapidly to meet global demand while maintaining rigorous ISO13485 quality standards The Warehouse Manager will manage and coordinate all warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; develops and implements new standard operating procedures (SOP) and practices that improve the effectiveness and financial performance of Fremont operations and supply chain. Join a team that values precision, innovation, and global impact-because science deserves nothing less. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages all warehouse activities in support of Fremont manufacturing, Wuxi manufacturing, EMEA operations and North America field service operations, including but not limited to receiving, storing, picking, and shipping parts, reagents, materials and final Cytek products.
- Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace, ensures compliance of warehouse staff certifications (ex: forklift cert, etc.).
- Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures. Drafts new policies and SOPs as needed.
- Maintains strict inventory control, owner of inventory accuracy at Fremont main warehouse and external storage locations.
- Performs semi-annual physical inventories (quarterly if requested), ensures 99%+ inventory accuracy, provides inventory reports.
- Ensures accurate and timely shipments and ensures daily completion of incoming receipts.
- True champion of 5S and continuous improvement (CI), identifies and implements opportunities for CI, and maintains an audit ready warehouse at all times.
- Maintains accurate records and performance metrics, full accountability of warehouse key performance indicators (KPI).
- Establishes systems that ensure < 24hrs turnaround time for returned, rejected, and obsolete parts to MRB and back to vendors.
- Establishes and maintains professional communication with vendors, treats and provides service to internal departments just like Cytek customers.
- Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
- Good understanding of ISO 9001 and 13485, responsible for approving and implementing engineering change orders (EC) related to materials stored in Fremont and external warehouses.
- Maintains continuous partnership and collaboration with other Cytek warehouses and distribution centers located globally around the world.
- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops warehouse staff; manages schedules and workflow, responsible for creating the correct org structure for scale up, develops proper backups for all warehouse functions.
- Assign duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of warehouse staff; actively works to promote and recognize performance to develop future talent.
- Continuously automate manual warehouse processes and reports.
- Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent.
- 8 - 12 years related experience or equivalent.
- Strong inventory control skills.
- High proficiency in using NetSuite and Propel business systems.
- Good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating team members, proven leadership and business acumen skills.
