THE HIGH LEVEL

As aData Visualization & Analytics Engineer, you will help expand and mature the VA's enterprise analytics capabilities with a focus on actionable, stakeholder-ready dashboards and reporting tools.

While the work includes Power BI dashboard development, it extends far beyond that. These engineers will support data transformation, modeling, and storytelling across various healthcare use cases, including patient access, provider workload, PGHD integration, and equity monitoring, using SQL, DAX, and cloud-based platforms such as Azure Synapse and Databricks.

Importantly, all analytics work will align with and map to the Connected Care Value Framework, helping the VA track and demonstrate value in five key areas: Access, Equity, Experiences of Care, Population Health, and Cost. This will ensure that the analytics we deliver don't just display data but directly support VHA's broader mission to provide trusted care anytime, anywhere.

This is a highly collaborative role that interfaces with clinical leaders, program offices, and data teams to shape how data is visualized, understood, and used to drive decisions.
