INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Join Hallmark's dynamic Information Technology organization as an intern supporting multiple high-impact teams: Enterprise Architecture (EA), IT Service & Portfolio Management, Automation Center of Practice (ACOP), Infrastructure & Operations, Consumer Experience & Data, and Supply Chain. This internship offers hands-on experience in AI, automation, orchestration, and enterprise-scale IT systems. Initial work assignments for you could include:



  • Learning, applying technical knowledge to solve problems in a specific business area
  • Working with business partners to define solutions
  • Collaborating with consultants, contractors, and on-shore/off-shore resources in accomplishing desired outcomes
  • Performing analysis & leaning into AI enablement and recommendations
  • Assuming responsibility for design, programming, and implementation on assigned systems
  • Ensuring all solutions align to security standards and protocols


In addition, our interns will work with many technologies including but not limited to Java, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, Visual Basic, C/C++, .net, Python, JSON, R, COBOL, CICS, DB2, Teradata, Datastage, SAP, Salesforce, PTC, mobile applications, Power BI, Power Automate/Power Apps, Ui Path, Halo ITSM, Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Platforms, and JDA systems.

During the course of your summer, you will get exposed to all of the different parts of our Hallmark Technology division and the various ways that people have created challenging and rewarding IT careers here at Hallmark. We are looking for energetic problem solvers with strong leadership skills who are eager to make an impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • A graduation date of December 2026, May 2027, December 2027, May 2028, December 2028, or May 2029.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (GPA must be stated on your resume).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and application will stand out if you have:



  • Foundational knowledge of AI, BPO, BPA, RPA, and enterprise architecture.
  • Previous internship experience or exposure to corporate or technological work.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills & ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical skills, learning agility, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile and ITIL frameworks.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS



  • Hallmark's internship program is 12-weeks long, starting in late May and ending in early August.
  • Our internships are hybrid positions, with the flexibility to work from both our recently renovated headquarters building in Kansas City, MO, and from your summer residence located within the KC metro area.
  • Relocation and housing assistance is provided for interns whose permanent address is outside of the KC metro area. Relocation to the Kansas City metro area is required for this role.
