As an Assistant Food Service Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in supporting the daily operations of a high-volume, multi-unit, high-demand corporate dining account in Durham, NC. With a focus on exceptional guest service, operational excellence, and team development, you will assist in overseeing both cafe and coffee bar functions. This role is ideal for an energetic, service-driven professional ready to grow their leadership skills within a fast-paced, Monday-Friday environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of cafe and coffee bar operations, including production, service, and sanitation standards.

  • Ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings align with client expectations and brand standards.

  • Assist in managing daily financials including food and labor costs, forecasting, inventory, and purchasing.

  • Lead and support front-line associates to maintain a positive, productive work environment.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, guests, and team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.

  • Implement and uphold all FLIK operational policies, procedures, and food safety regulations.

  • Assist in the execution of marketing and wellness initiatives to engage customers and drive participation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the operation.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 2 to 4 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in higher-end restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food.
  • Able to manage multi-unit concepts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial experience and business acumen skills.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
