As a Security Officer- Media Screener in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Screener in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout the location to provide a reassuring presence. You will utilize your strong communication and customer service skills to interact with employees and guests, addressing inquiries and assisting with any security-related concerns. This position values your ability to use technology, such as alarm panels and computers or tablets, to support daily operations. Wed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Thur03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Sat05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Screen individuals entering the location, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors regarding site policies and procedures.
  • Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to maintain a secure environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
