Cox Enterprises is seeking a dynamic and motivated Contracts Senior Manager with a strong commercial, legal, and operations background to join our innovative Law & Policy team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working under attorney supervision in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate legal department.

We're looking for someone who thrives on detail, is excited to learn and grow, and brings both initiative and teamwork to every project. As a Contracts Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting Cox Automotive Retail Solutions and the broader Cox Automotive Commercial Operations legal team, managing a wide variety of contracts, processes, and client interactions with skill and confidence.

This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Retail Solutions, and will involve regular engagement with clients, internal business teams, and outside counsel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, from intake through execution, renewal, and amendment.
  • Review, draft, and revise a wide range of agreements-including SaaS, API access, system interoperability, beta/test, and commercial contracts-under attorney supervision.
  • Negotiate non-legal business terms, assess risks, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Maintain, update, and improve legal contract templates, checklists, and clause libraries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Track contract status and obligations using CLM systems or trackers, and coordinate document execution via e-signature platforms.
  • Support business partners by preparing renewal and amendment documentation, managing approval workflows, and ensuring adherence to contract terms.
  • Collaborate with product, finance, and business teams to gather input and align contracts with operational needs.
  • Drive process improvements, leveraging technology and legal operations tools to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Serve as a liaison between the legal team and stakeholders, ensuring smooth contract intake, review, and workflow management.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, policies, and procedures that enhance legal operations and support Cox's growth.


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm is required; alternatively, a master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in contract review, drafting, and management, with a strong understanding of key commercial terms.
  • Excellent analytical skills, sound legal judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in legal technology tools and is committed to utilizing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proven collaborator and team player.


USD 108,800.00 - 181,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
