What this job involves: Support mail services, shipping & receiving operations, and general facility maintenance in a professional environment. This role combines mailroom operations, package handling, inventory management, and facility cleaning duties while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety compliance.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Handle and deliver pouch mail and process certified mail
  • Process and hand-deliver all accountable mail to customers using tracking systems
  • Package and weigh items, print shipping labels and postage
  • Handle pallets and packages, inspect goods received for damage
  • Distribute products to other departments and maintain accurate records
  • Make weekly paper deliveries to 10 copy/mailrooms
  • Respond to customer phone calls and inquiries
  • Operate required vehicles with valid driver's license
  • Clean and sanitize facility restrooms/bathrooms using established procedures
  • Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers
  • Replace light bulbs and refill restroom dispensers
  • Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and finish to hard surface floors
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpets
  • Operate and maintain power equipment including buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums
  • Wash walls, equipment, and accessible interior/exterior windows
  • Remove debris from sidewalks, grounds, and parking lots
  • Clean and restock bean-to-cup coffee machines and supplies
  • Assist with facility setup for meetings, conferences, and events
  • Document cleaning activities on daily logs
  • Check for security issues and report unauthorized occupants
  • Handle recycling materials and assist with inventory control
  • Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to supervisor
  • Collaborate effectively with team members

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be forklift certified or willing to obtain certification within three months (training provided by the account)
  • Valid driver's license with ability to complete vehicle training
  • Experience performing general cleaning duties in commercial buildings, preferably in GMP environments
  • Ability to work in customer service environment with professional client interaction
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with computer systems including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move safely to perform job tasks (must lift up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Must submit work history or resume with application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous mailroom or shipping/receiving experience
  • Experience with tracking systems and mail processing
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments
  • Experience operating manual pallet jacks and material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local shipping regulations

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Working Conditions: Position may require working with chemical and biological agents. All safety procedures and personal protective equipment must be followed as specified by company policy.

Estimated compensation for this position:

37,378.00 - 38,686.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
