Pinyon is a company of opportunity About this Position Pinyon is seeking an Environmental Planner III to support NEPA projects by preparing environmental review documents, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and collaborating with federal, state, and local agencies. The ideal candidate has environmental consulting experience, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to manage complex projects in a regulated environment while helping advance client goals. You'll join a collaborative team of planners and scientists who value problem-solving, communication, and supporting each other, working on meaningful projects across multiple markets while growing your expertise in federal environmental compliance. We are preparing for upcoming NEPA and planning project awards and are looking for a skilled planner ready to help advance these efforts. This role will become effective upon contract award, and top candidates will be engaged quickly as projects move forward. Pinyon has a strong track record in the transportation sector, particularly with FHWA oversight, and we're expanding our portfolio with agencies such as the USACE, FAA, FTA, BLM, USFS, HUD, and WAPA. This position is based in our Tempe, Arizona office, though remote work options may be considered. Essential Responsibilities
