Kitting Room Operator

Advantage Technical is hiring in your area! We are seeking a highly motivated Kitting Room Operator to join our dynamic team in Acton, MA. You will play a critical role in the delivery of materials from the kitting room to the production floor.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing operator role with working knowledge of a warehouse environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• 1+ year in warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and work independently or on a team
• Forklift experience and safe material handling knowledge
• Effective communication; fluent in English
• Quality-focused, dependable, and positive attitude
• Medical device or regulated industry experience is a plus

Kitting Room Operator Key Responsibilities

• Operate computer systems, ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics AX), and printing equipment to support daily production activities.
• Accurately record and process ERP transactions for all material movements promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring equipment is in proper working condition.
• Safely operate or be trained to operate forklifts, pallet jacks (manual and electric), and material handling equipment.
• Perform material preparation tasks such as silicone mixture handling and raw material siliconizing as needed.
• Complete end-of-shift duties, including workstation cleaning, pallet organization, trash removal, and preparing areas for the next shift.
• Provide clear and detailed shift handoff reports to ensure seamless communication between teams.
• Report workplace issues or safety concerns to management following the appropriate chain of command.
• Meet all training and compliance deadlines and assist in training team members on work instructions when required.
• Participate in team meetings, safety programs, and production training sessions.
• Support inventory control activities including cycle counting, stocking, and general material flow.
• Assist with warehouse operations such as packaging, shipping, and receiving when needed.
• Ensure full compliance with safety standards and company policies to minimize risk in the workplace.
• Perform additional production support or material handling duties as assigned.

Pay: $20 per hour | Schedule: 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
