Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transactions Intern in our Oak Brook, IL office for the summer of 2026. The Transactions Intern will work with Cabot's Investment and Asset Management teams and gain hands-on experience with the full investment lifecycle. This includes exposure to financial modeling, due diligence, leasing, and portfolio management. The intern will have the opportunity to work directly with investment officers and asset managers, contributing to real projects while developing technical and professional skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Investments Team



  • Assist with creating financial models in Excel and Argus.
  • Help prepare summaries of investment opportunities for internal meetings.
  • Conduct research on markets, tenants, and companies.
  • Organize and review materials used for due diligence.
  • Support research on broader economic and market trends.


Asset Management Team



  • Help update property-level cash flow models in Argus.
  • Review lease documents and assist with entering data into systems.
  • Support asset managers with lease summaries and property reports.
  • Assist with quarterly valuations and budgeting projects.
  • Learn about property operations by working with managers on real properties.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance and an interest in real estate or finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Exposure to Argus or financial modeling coursework is helpful but not required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.


Work Environment & Travel



  • Internship based primarily in a professional office environment (Oak Brook Regional Office).
  • Ability to use a computer and communicate effectively in person and online.
  • Limited travel may be required for property site visits or team meetings.
