Senior Application Developer

Essential Functions

• Participate as a key member on the development team
• Understand and train others on common OOP concepts and design patterns
• Self-review of skill gaps to cover with our quarterly training hours
• Take ownership of change management and SLDC processes and tools
• Be able to give and receive feedback on requirements or code reviews
• Able to debug code across the entire technology stack
• Develop and document technical requirements and decisions
• Self-starter that conducts small proof-of-concept projects to test out improvements
• Takes into consideration user experience and knows how to measure standard performance metrics
• Conducts training sessions on knowledge sharing within and outside assigned teams
• Establishes strong relationships with business and IT members to deliver solid solutions
• Maintains a high level of professionalism, regardless of business or client level
• Confident in their own skill set to lead peers in expanding others' skills
• Consistently delivers high-quality services and products
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
• 3 years' of related work experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Solid experience in .NET; .NET Core/6+ preferred
• Experience with ASP.NET; ASP.NET Core preferred
• High proficiency with C# required; proficiency in JavaScript and SQL languages preferred
• Experience in mentoring staff of all levels
• Experience in leading development a plus
• Demonstrative proficiency building and supporting full-stack development
• Experience with consuming and developing web services and web APIs required
• Experience with CI/CD a plus
• Understands secure coding practices preferred
• Experience in technical requirement gathering and documentation
• Must be able to work independently on projects and within a remote team environment
• Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and team members
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have ability to travel on occasion based on business needs
• Experience with LINQ a plus
• Experience with Entity Framework a plus
• Experience with Code First Migrations a plus
• Experience with RESTful API design and development a plus
• Experience with Atlassian tools a plus

The Team:

Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Information Technology Team.

Work Style:

Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period.
