Henry Ford Internal Medicine Auburn Hills Physician Assistant

Provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities:
Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.|
Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.|
Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.|
Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration: * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire, but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA. * Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. * Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board Physician Assistants Task Force obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. * Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Education: * Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required. * Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: * 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery preferred.
