Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for an Information Security Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity posture by administering and optimizing our security tools, supporting incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with defense industry standards.

What You'll Do


  • Work with the VP of Information Security to configure, administer, and maintain core security platforms.
  • Support deployment and tuning of cybersecurity tools.
  • Investigate and respond to security alerts in collaboration with SOC, IS, and IT teams.
  • Analyze logs, events, and system data to support threat detection and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in vulnerability scanning and remediation activities.
  • Contribute technical evidence to compliance efforts (CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171).
  • Participate in onboarding and testing of new security technologies.
  • Evaluate third-party cloud applications and vendors.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in IT or Information Security, preferably in a DoD or other highly regulated environment.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CASP+, or CISSP
  • Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise security platform (EDR, SASE, etc).
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint, network, and system administration fundamentals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical, security, and IT issues.
  • Experience with Email, SharePoint, and Teams security in Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.


Preferred


  • CMMC CCP, AZ-500, SC-200, or other relevant cybersecurity or IT certifications.
  • Experience with DLP, ZTNA, SASE, CASB, IAM, PAM, and modern Zero Trust architecture.
  • Cross-platform security management (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android).


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment as well as computers, keyboards, and phones, as well as IT-specific equipment such as servers, network switches, and cabling. Must be physically capable of installing and maintaining networking hardware in office and lab environments.

Work Environment

This position typically operates in a standard office setting and manufacturing environment. This role requires use of standard office equipment and may involve exposure to server rooms, networking equipment, related peripherals, and may require occasional travel to PDW facilities and test sites. This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard works hours for this position Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional after hours as operational needs demand.

ITAR Requirement

In compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) or individuals granted asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
