Position Summary
This position will provide executive level support to the Executive Director of the TEACCH Autism Program. Duties will include but are not limited to: scheduling appointments, creating correspondence and communicating with a wide variety of individuals from both within the university and the public, relaying information from the director to TEACCH staff, writing up contracts for speaking or training engagements, managing travel details, managing the Executive Director's calendar and creating presentations and reports as needed utilizing a high degree of independence along with strong problem solving skills, judgement, discretion and diplomacy. The Executive Director requires support in responding to requests in a timely manner by someone who can speak on their behalf.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

  • Experience supporting senior executives in higher education or nonprofit entities preferred.
  • Exposure to teaching, research, clinical and community service organization activities preferred.
