As the Global Head of Software Implementations for Veterinary Software at IDEXX, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of software implementation projects across international markets. You'll oversee a multi-functional team including regional managers, project managers, virtual implementers, and traveling trainers - ensuring successful deployments and exceptional client experiences. In This Role: 1. Strategic Leadership
Define and Execute Strategy: Develop and implement a global strategy for software implementations aligned with company goals for adoption, satisfaction, and efficiency. Global Resource Allocation: Optimize deployment of project managers, implementers, and trainers across regions to meet demand and timelines. Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to align with business objectives, sales forecasts, and product roadmaps.
2. Team Management and Leadership
Lead Global Teams: Provide guidance and support to regional managers and team leads to ensure high performance and morale. Talent Development: Drive recruitment, training, and growth initiatives to build a skilled and empowered team. Performance Management: Monitor team performance, offer coaching, and foster continuous improvement.
3. Project Management Oversight
Portfolio Management: Oversee global software implementation projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery that meets client expectations. Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage risks across technical, operational, and resource dimensions. Client Communication: Serve as the senior contact for major projects, ensuring effective issue resolution and stakeholder engagement.
4. Software Implementation Process and Optimization
Process Standardization: Establish global procedures and best practices for consistent, high-quality delivery. Scalable Customization: Ensure processes are adaptable to regional client needs while maintaining efficiency. Continuous Improvement: Leverage data insights to refine implementation processes and enhance outcomes.
5. Client and Stakeholder Management
Client Satisfaction: Ensure timely, high-quality implementations that exceed expectations. Tailored Solutions: Collaborate with clients to customize software setup and training. Post-Deployment Support: Facilitate smooth transitions to support teams for ongoing client success.
6. Budget and Financial Oversight
Budget Management: Oversee global implementation budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and adherence to financial targets. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality. Travel Coordination: Manage logistics for traveling trainers and international deployments.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Internal Partnerships: Work closely with sales, product, engineering, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery and issue resolution. Feedback Integration: Create feedback loops with product teams to enhance software based on implementation insights.
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. 10-15+ years of experience in software implementation leadership, including 10+ years in managerial roles. Proven ability to lead large, diverse global teams with empathy and effectiveness. Strong project management skills across multi-region software deployments. Technical expertise in software architecture, integration, and troubleshooting. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with clients and internal stakeholders. Experience in process optimization and scaling operations globally. Proficiency in managing international travel logistics and global budgets.
