Carnegie Mellon University's College of Fine Arts is searching for an Sound Designer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Provide the sound content and system design for House of Bernarda Alba for CMU School of Drama. Additionally, mix the production during tech and performances.

  • Responsibilities will vary depending on job function. Example responsibilities could be related to custom sound technology, lighting or props.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience

  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Provide the sound content and system design for House of Bernarda Alba for CMU School of Drama.

Additionally, mix the production during tech and performances.

Required dates and deliverables:

  • Start date September 10th.

  • Show runs from October 8-11

  • Designer is not required to load in production.

  • Designer will be at technical rehearsals September 29 - October 7.

  • Designer is not required to strike the show.

  • Designer will attend at least two rehearsals before the technical rehearsals.

  • Successful background check
