BC has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Technical Advisor who will have an essential role in our Maui County business. This hybrid, part-time position can be based out of our Wailuku office. In collaboration with the Regional and Area Practice Leader, Local Leader, and CSM the ideal candidate will support the Maui CST to maintain and develop client relationships, execute projects, and guide procurement stages leading to new opportunities. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the County of Maui's disaster recovery and capable of mentoring junior staff on both technical and soft skills.

Detailed Description:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Serve as senior technical resource for key projects and opportunities. Manage multi-disciplinary resources and navigate the client's policies, interdepartmental needs and relationships to produce high quality deliveries.
- Utilize internal systems for communication, tracking and collaboration on projects and opportunities.
- Support development of staff members, especially as it relates to strategic planning and effective communication.
- Guide teams conducting technical evaluations to support water resources planning and design, including regulatory compliance.
- Engage and cultivate client service teams to support understanding and delivering on client needs and expectations.
- Create client engagement strategies and pursuit plans, actively leading in key opportunity proposal strategy, positioning, teaming, and strategic development.
- Leverage BC resources, experience and skills to support client goals.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- B.S. degree in related engineering field (Civil, Environmental etc.) required; M.S. degree in related engineering field with a focus on water resources or environmental engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineer registration in the State of Hawaii
- A minimum of 20 years' experience (25+ preferred) in the water and environmental sector with progressive responsibilities including leadership roles in business development, and project delivery, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, meet project requirements, and provide strong business growth results in management roles.
- Proven understanding of environmental and regulatory drivers for clients and projects.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resources allocation, leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources.
- Proven technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually are required.
- Ability to motivate others and lead teams to implement plans for projects and client pursuits.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
