Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer to support the full development lifecycle of critical business platforms, including architectural design, deployment, and debugging. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining release pipelines that enable fast yet secure delivery of software to production, as well as developing and enforcing version control best practices using Git, including branching and merging strategies. You will serve as a technical lead within an Agile team, actively participating in all ceremonies such as planning, grooming, product demonstrations, and retrospectives. The role requires hands-on expertise in automating deployments across development, test, staging, QA, and production environments through scripting languages and automation toolkits, along with configuring infrastructure via tools such as Puppet and Ansible. Additional responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading documentation and tracking software such as Confluence and Jira, assisting with the design and maintenance of web service infrastructure, analyzing service stacks to recommend improvements, and identifying opportunities for process automation. You will be expected to communicate effectively with stakeholders to bridge business requirements and technical implementation, provide operational support as needed, and always ensure confidentiality of data. Success in this role will require strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and Java, as well as practical experience applying DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering methodologies. A holistic understanding of service development and deployment architecture is essential, along with experience setting up and configuring continuous integration environments leveraging containerization, serverless technologies, and Kubernetes.

The Level 3 DevOps Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

• Must be fluent with Git.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Linux environments (RHEL 617/8, RHCSNRHCE CentOS).
• Experience with Windows system administration, system monitoring, instrumentation, resiliency and performance.
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment preferred.
• Experience with caching technologies (Memcache, Active MQ, Redis, APC, etc.).
• Experience with MySQL (Clusters, Replication, and Tuning) and Elasticsearch (Kibana a plus). Knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, PCI compliance etc.
• 10+ years of system architecture required with a demonstrated ability to read the code and understand the coding logic to assist in troubleshooting.
• 10+ years' experience managing/monitoring AWS cloud and virtualized servers for optimal performance while working in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle models, agile, and DevOps programming methodologies.
• Fluent skills in object oriented programming and experience in at least one programming language such as Ruby, C, C++, GO, Python, or Java.
• Experience acquiring in-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk, and understand varied customer deployments.
• Ability to successfully work with customers, developers, testing, project management, and support staff.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Clarity and precision in verbal and written communications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher is required in either Engineering (i.e. Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, etc.) or Computer Science with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience (excludes education experience such as Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field).
• 5+ years working in an Agile dev environment (excludes education experience such as Bachelor's or Master degree in relevant field.
• 5+ years of system architecture required with a demonstrated ability to read the code and understand the coding logic to assist in troubleshooting.
• 5+ years' experience managing/monitoring AWS cloud and virtualized servers for optimal performance while working in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.
• Polygraph within 5 years is required.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: 185,000-235,000
