We're looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. At Peraton, you won't just support the mission - you'll define it.

Are you ready to help shape the future of U.S. aviation? As an Automation Requirements Integration Lead Associate, you will play a critical role in defining, validating, and integrating requirements for the FAA's most important automation systems within the National Airspace System (NAS). These systems-including ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, and TFMS-are essential to the safety, reliability, and efficiency of air travel nationwide.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with FAA stakeholders, engineers, and program teams to ensure requirements are accurate, traceable, and fully aligned with mission objectives. You'll also provide leadership to small teams, guiding analysts and engineers in building the next generation of air traffic automation capabilities. This is your chance to directly impact national infrastructure, work on groundbreaking modernization initiatives, and contribute to the safe movement of millions of passengers every day.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Requirements Integration: Oversee requirements integration across multiple FAA automation programs, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with FAA standards.

  • Requirements Development: Conduct gathering, analysis, validation, and refinement activities to capture and clarify stakeholder and mission needs.

  • Traceability & Lifecycle Support: Ensure requirements remain clear, testable, and traceable throughout the system lifecycle, from design and development through testing and deployment.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to small teams of requirements analysts, fostering professional growth and maintaining best practices.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with FAA customers, technical teams, and program leadership to resolve issues, close gaps, and address conflicts in requirements.

  • Process Improvement: Apply FAA requirements processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and improve the quality of deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in requirements engineering, integration, or systems engineering, ideally supporting FAA or other large-scale, safety-critical systems.

  • Familiarity with FAA automation programs (ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, TFMS) highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience guiding small teams or task groups.

  • Strong knowledge of requirements management tools and methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
