Sigma Defense is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support and evolve our quality management system. This role is primarily strategic and administrative, focused on maintaining compliance with established processes while identifying and implementing improvements.

Candidates should bring excellent organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems, and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.

The QA Specialist will work cross-functionally to ensure quality standards are clearly defined, documented, and consistently followed. This role is ideal for someone who understands both the "how" and the "why" behind quality systems and enjoys improving processes that impact product reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality systems, or similar role.
  • Strong organizational and process-oriented mindset.
  • Experience working with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical writing experience (procedures, work instructions, reports).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives independently.
  • Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electronics or RF systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems is preferred.
  • Experience managing or supporting calibration programs and equipment traceability is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in an unspecified field of study.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Maintain and improve quality processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent).
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and QC teams to ensure quality integration across all stages.
  • Develop and refine quality documentation, including product validation forms, work instructions, and process flows.
  • Support training initiatives related to quality systems and best practices.
  • Monitor effectiveness of quality processes and recommend improvements.
  • Lead and support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain calibration records and coordinate timely calibration of test and measurement equipment to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Maintain 5S standards and promote a culture of organization and efficiency.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually
