  In this entry-level management position, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operations of our Dairy and Frozen Foods department, balancing hands-on customer interaction with strategic planning and execution. In this role, your responsibilities will include: 
 
 -  Developing and implementing in-store specials, merchandising strategies, and display programs to drive sales and enhance profitability 
 -  Collaborating with vendors and sales representatives to optimize our product offerings and introduce new items 
 -  Maintaining an efficient inventory of products, with a keen focus on quality and pricing, to ensure our shelves are consistently stocked 
 -  Curate visually appealing and well-stocked display cases, meeting the high expectations of both Dierbergs and our customers. 
 
 
  
Qualifications for Success: 
 
 -  Demonstrated knowledge and experience in retail operations, with a preference for candidates familiar with the grocery industry, or inventory management 
 -  Hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification 
 -  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the capacity to stock shelves efficiently, and work in temperature-controlled environments. 
 -  Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work area, utilizing company-approved equipment and adhering to established protocols. 
 -  Strong attention to detail, business acumen, and the ability to execute tasks with precision and dependability. 
 -  Effective organizational skills, with the capacity to strategically plan both short- and long-term goals, ultimately driving tangible results. 
 -  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts - enjoy a balanced schedule with no late nights, most dairy and frozen department shifts end by 6 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance 
 
 
  
Physical Requirements: 
 
 -  Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently 
 -  Ability to push and pull up to 90 lbs. of force occasionally 
 -  Ability to stock an average of 60 cases per hour and work in varied temperature-controlled environments 
 -  Ability to keep the work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment 
 - Strong attention to detail, business acumen, follow-through and dependability
 - Ability to organize work, strategically plan short- and long-term goals and focus on results
 -  Occasional: Sitting and climbing; frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and handling 
 - Frequent: Head turn, trunk bend, side reach, grasp, power grip, pinch, finger manipulation, & feel
 -  Constant - Stand, handling, & forward reach
