This Custodian position is a team member of the Wisconsin Union -Facilities Custodian Team. Duties
include routine maintenance and cleaning, trash removal, and snow removal. Other duties will be assigned as needed. Work is performed under the guidance of a Custodial Services Supervisor.

-Shift Hours are 10:30pm - 7am (3rd Shift), days of week worked will rotate. 40 hours per week.

-At UW-Madison- Memorial Union. (800 Landgon Street, Madison, WI 53706)

-Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors.

-This is a temporary position that is scheduled to last about 6 months based on when staffing needs are filled, whichever comes first.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
  • Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
  • Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
  • Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
  • Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
