The Shipping/Receiving Associate plays a vital role in our operations, ensuring the seamless flow of goods. This position significantly contributes to supporting our logistical goals by accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • You'll be responsible for the smooth and accurate flow of products throughout the facility. You'll move materials to their correct locations, restock shelves, and help maintain an organized facility.

  • Safely operate a forklift and other equipment to load, unload, and move materials, ensuring efficient handling of all products.

  • Prepare finished goods for shipment by organizing them in staging areas, completing necessary paperwork, shrink-wrapping pallets, and loading trailers.

  • Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse by performing general housekeeping tasks and upholding 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).

  • Support our inventory management by pulling Kanban cards as needed and placing them in designated areas to ensure materials are replenished on time.

  • Verify incoming materials and quantities, receive raw materials and finished goods into our system, and place them in their proper locations.

  • Work as part of a cohesive team, exchange information with co-workers, and even help train others. You'll also have the opportunity to work independently and make decisions.

YOU HAVE:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience with forklift operation, computer data entry, and general material handling (moving, counting, and identifying products) is required.

  • You have a keen eye for detail, strong counting and picking skills, and a basic understanding of computer systems.

  • You are comfortable with the physical demands of a warehouse environment, including standing for long periods, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.

  • You can effectively communicate with team members at all levels and follow both written and verbal instructions, including safety protocols.

  • You're a flexible team player who can work a variety of jobs and is willing to work overtime when needed.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
